If you see one, make a wish and it may come true. Fisherman use them to find fish, while they say they use it for luck, fish do eat the same things they eat, so it makes sense. Though they do say its good luck when one hovers near you.
Some believe they are a messenger between realms, and if you see one in your dreams its a warning sign. If one lands on you, you'll hear good news from someone you care about. If you see a dead one, you will hear sad news.
