If you really want to get back down to basics and live the rural life, you'll have to start with tossing out all of your appliances, that weird lobster apron, and that chicken shaped timer. Then get yourself a nice big fire place like this, some big metal cauldrons. Then grow yourself a farm, or hunt for wild game. You'll have to keep an eye on the fire and prevent your house from burning down. It has a romantic feel that's for sure, but I would trade it for a microwave any day.

Even the littlest thing was done with so much effort back then. I can appreciate the history but I like living in the modern day on most occasions... Great capture Mike. The treatment offers a lovely softness of this well composed shot.
