It feels funny not doing an image that's a 100 years old, despite how this looks, its from the 1970s. This was a part of a building survey, and I think they use black and white film because it captures more tonal range than color does. What is interesting about this location is, it still exists today. I don't know if its a museum, or open on certain days, I do know I probably will never see it in person.
The original image had a sign and a big ugly light on the right. It blocked a door and covered railing. I did what I could to rebuild it. The colors came from the actual room. Using images and video, I was able to get most of the color that way. I never would have guessed that the motors were red. Based on their tone, I would have pegged it for green. But for all I know in this era they were green. I like red better. They did have those pinstripes though, there are more of yellow lines in the past than the current.
This room has far less clutter than the current room. Most of the walls today are covered in photos and gadgets. The lighting is also different now.
