To think, just how many interesting people you must run into when traveling by train. You may not even think about it. Today we try to ignore everyone because as you know, everyone is a freak. And on air planes, everyone has a cold. But in the past, there was really only one form of transportation and that was by train, a slow moving train (presumably).
People of all heights, from all places, waited for those things. They talked about the weather and various animals they saw, the last time they went by train. I think what is most interesting about this picture is that "The Penguin", also traveled this way in his early years. You can see him in the top hat and cane on the right.
