Description
Colorized photo from 1937
Original Title: Bootblack's Stand
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Classic Americana. Guys hanging out, a barbershop in the background, shoes getting shined. Makes you wonder if the guy in blue is Clark Kent.
The umbrella of that type was more popular in the 1900's, so I'm guessing it might be an antique.
The shoeshine guy is interesting, this is the first time I've seen a patterned shirt. And boy what an ugly shirt. I can only guess he wore that to attract the customers, he come complete with an alligator belt.
I tried very hard to find this location, but I simply could not find it. There wasn't much to go on to actually find it. Editing wise, this had a ton of fine white lines across it. Like it got stuck in a machine or something.
