Before the internet and all that new fangled technology, there was nature. A live stream meant just that, water moving. At first you might think that is not very interesting, but when was the last time a live stream of any kind was all that interesting. I mean how fun is it to watch someone else getting a haircut or eating a donut? It's not fun.
In the past you would sit around and just watch the water flow. Watching that leaf make its way past the rock. Sometimes the watching was real good, you saw a fish or a toad. You would go home and tell all your friends and they would just give you a thumbs up and nod, while shaking their heads... just like they do today.
