Description

This is what's known as a Blacksmith's vise, it's often called a "leg vise" or an "anvil vise". It's designed to withstand the heavy duty work that takes place in a blacksmithing environment. While the upper half looks like a normal vise, what makes this different is the long leg that keeps going to the floor. This allows you to really pound on it.

Often they are made from iron or steel, can also have large jaws that may be hardened. Others have a built in anvil. The handle is also longer to make sure it has a tight grip as you can leverage it more.
