Welcome to Saratoga NY, 1915. Cars are out, but its more of a gimmick than an actual device people use to get around. The horse is where its at right now.
On your left is the United States hotel, later being called the Grand hotel. Since 1840 its always been a hotel of some kind.
This town is basically a vacation town for the rich. People would stroll leisurely, buying fancy goods at all those stores. In a way it was a simpler time (compared to now). All you have to do is close your eyes, and replace the smell of car exhaust that you would smell today, with horse manure, cigar smoke and dirt clouds from the street. And open your eyes, you are now transported back in time.
