There were two images of this scene taken minutes apart. But one of them had a nice piece of people moving across the street. The other had a nice clump of people and that bike, so I combined the two to balance the scene.
The building is long gone, couldn't find any references to the color, I choose tan because there is a tan building across the street that had a similar brick bond. And it didn't seem like it should be a red building.
In its day, Loyd's drug store was probably a local hangout, and the best spot for getting fishing tackle. At some point in time it was removed and replaced by some other building.
The Princess theater on the other hand is still there. It was built in 1887, but it started as a livery stable, a place you could park a horse.
But in 1919 it was transformed into a silent film & Vaudeville venue, eventually becoming a theater with 677 seats. It officially closed in 1978. But they loved it so much they put some money into it and renovated it, opening it as a performing arts center. Keeping that wonderful Art Deco sign intact.
The two buildings that are on the sides of the Princess are still there still.
