There was no info about why they took this picture, or where it was, who they were etc. But I really like that we can see the guy behind the tool. Portraits like these are interesting because you can see what the people looked like in the past. See their character. Usually they are non player characters, used to fill in the background so it doesn't look abandoned. It really makes you wonder what their day was like, what they talked about etc.
I'm still not sure what they made other than they seem to be a Jack of all trades type of crew.
One curious thing that I noticed when coloring was that the guy with the beard and pipe, is short a finger. He has only three knuckles, and as far as I know its not a trick of the light. I have a weird fun habit of counting fingers hoping to find a 6th or maybe even a 7th finger. But this is the first time I've seen one with four. He has a thumb, and then the other three like a cartoon. I thought that was just really curious.
